Spring Semester
Spring in Europe
THE SEMESTER OF YOUR DREAMS
The Abroad Connection helps you make the most of your semester by getting you to your bucket list destinations.
JAN – MAY 2023
Barcelona Night Parties: Feb 12th and feb 21st
Sitges Carnival and
Super Bowl Barcelona
Carnival is celebrated around the world and Sitges is one of the biggest hotspots to celebrate. Only 40 minutes outside of Barcelona, Sitges Carnival normally sees 250,000 people flocking to this small coastal town. Sitges Carnival marks the last chance to go absolutely wild and give in to every temptation before the 40 days of Lent begin. This is your chance to dress up and get freaky, go all out in sequins, feather boas and body paint, or even put on a mask if you desire.
The First Weekend: Mar 3-5; Mar 10-12
AbroadFEST Barcelona
Barcelona is one of Spain’s most vibrant cities and features unique and unforgettable Catalan culture. With fantastic local wine, some of Europe’s best seafood, architectural marvels, and streets of artisanal shops, you certainly won’t be bored in sunny Barcelona. Everything the city offers creates an unparalleled cultural experience.
WEEKEND TWO: MARCH 10-12TH
Andorra ski Weekender
A unique ski weekend in Andorra, a small country between Spain and France. Only a couple of hours from downtown Barcelona, we bus up on Friday, treat ourselves, ski and board, eat, drink and party a little, before coming back to Barcelona on Sunday evening. Who says winter in Europe can’t be the best season?
WEEKEND Three: March 16-19
St. Paddy's Day in Dublin
You’re in heaven: a buzzing pub, toasting a pint of frothy Guinness with your mates as a tribute to St. Patrick. The energy in the streets as you walk along the sea of green is like nothing else. You don’t need a lucky four leaf clover to ensure your good time in Dublin.
THE LAST WEEKENDS: Apr 21-May 1st
Springfest
Pints & Pals at MUNICH’S OTHER BEER FEST
Raise a pint of Bavarian lager to your semester abroad in one of Springfest’s lively halls, the songs of oompah bands and clamor of beer maids in dirndls hustling around you. With all the same features of Oktoberfest but without the tourists, Munich in the Spring is a perfect destination to wrap up your semester in Europe.
Ready when
you are.
